I must share today's experience with everyone! I went with my daughter and grandaughter to the Cox Center to the Health Wellness Expo! My daughter was registering for the Marathon on Sunday and while she was filling out all the registration information my grandaughter and I wandered through the expo checking out all the "health maintenance stuff"! It was more than shocking to realize that I had NO IDEA what most of the stuff was or what it did. I did, however, understand the rows and rows of tennis shoes and workout clothing.
Today's visit to the expo has made me realize that I need to take health wellness a little more serious. No, I don't need to be a fanatic but I do need to wake up and regroup! So...I am going to sign up for the yoga class being held at our church. This class will begin in June and I must say it will be quite a sight but I am going to give it my best shot.
Who knows, I may discover that I like this "healthy stuff", although I don't think I will ever be able to decline all the good/bad food. My closing thought is a quote from my little grandaughter as we strolled through the expo. "O'Ma where is the cotton candy?"

I must admit that I am not a writer but I love reading everyone's blog postings. You all are such fun to read and I absolutely giggle out loud every time I read what is going on in your lives.

Having said all that I want to recommend a book to read for you gals who knit. Those of you who don't knit might enjoy it also. I must tell you it is not a "happy ever after" book so expect to shed a few tears. The entire book helps us look at life in an interesting way.

Now that I have given it a great introduction, the book is The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs. I would love to have you join me in a discussion of the book and I will even make the muffins and cookies! Happy reading.
